Nestled among the
evergreen trees in Southwest Washington, in the shadow of Mt. St.
Helens our puppies have ample room to romp at our family farm.
Washington Labradoodle’s breeding farm sits on 20 acres of
forest and pastureland secluded on the outskirts of historical
Castle Rock, WA. However, we are only an hour’s drive from
Portland, OR or two hours from Seattle, WA.
After beginning our
breeding facility in the Summer of 2004, we now have three breeding
females and one male puppy who will be ready to start his career the
summer of 2006. Our kennel facility includes a heated
whelping/nursery room, with an adjoining indoor 8' X 20" puppy play
area . The kennel also has two more indoor play areas, where
our adults live. All indoor areas are accessible to a fenced 1
acre yard, complete with a turtle pond for their amusement, a wooded
area, and lots of grassy area to run about. After a hard day
at play our dogs enjoy an evening in the house with our family.
When we decided
to start breeding Australian Labradoodles we chose Tegan Park in
Australia as the best place to purchase our breeding stock.
Tegan Park, founder of the Australian Labradoodle, has had many
years of successful breeding.
We wanted to carry on their
tradition of breeding authentic Australian Labradoodles. There
are many first generation puppies available, but they will not
necessarily produce the quality temperament and coat as the
multi-generation dogs. We feel the wait for beautiful, healthy,
well-rounded allergy and asthma friendly dogs is well worth it.
