Australian Labradoodles
Australian Labradoodles are a breeding combination
that gives dog lovers the best of both worlds. They are
a cross between Standard Poodles and Labrador
Retrievers. This makes them excellent, intelligent pets
or service dogs that are ideal for owners with allergies
or asthma.
While many people have only just begun to hear about
Australian Labradoodles, a man named Wally Cochran first
bred these beautiful dogs in the 1970s. He was searching
for an allergy-friendly guide dog and he found it. It is
Wally who first used the name "Labradoodle" and it is
still used today.
Australian Labradoodles Are Allergy-Friendly Dogs
One of the most amazing qualities that the Australian
Labradoodle possesses is the fact that it does not shed.
This is a characteristic that is inherited from the
Standard Poodle. Because of their wool or fleece coats,
they also have no body odor and are rarely susceptible
to fleas. As such they can easily become members of the
family in homes that otherwise would be unable to have
dogs due to allergy or asthma concerns.
We at Washington Labradoodles want to give more dog
lovers the opportunity to experience the joys of owning
a Labradoodle. As many of the first generational dogs do
not have the same allergy-free characteristics of
multi-generational dogs, we have chosen to work in
conjunction with Tegan Park, who has been breeding
Labradoodles for many years. As a result, we can provide
your home with a loving pet perfect for those who never
thought they could experience the joys of pet ownership
because of pet dander and shedding.
